I'm always humbled when someone likes the blog and enjoys reading. So.....I thought it might be fun for me to share 20 facts about myself. Getting to know me a little better.
1. I'm a Lover not a Fighter. But, don't get it twisted I will chop some trees down if deemed necessary!
2. I rise with the chickens no matter what time I go to bed. I rarely sleep late.
3. When I was 16 I had a crush on Micheal Jordan, I thought he was the most gorgeous black man on T.V 1 yr. later it was Denzel! What can I say I like older men
4. I'm a great cook! I learned from the best, my grandmother.
5. I have 5 favorite colors, yeah, yeah I know the rule is one. I make the rules here! lol So I have 5! Pink, Black, Brown, Green, Creme
6. I'm Spoiled but......I spoiled myself! The day I realized that depending on self and God was the answer was the day I began spoiling myself rotten!
7. I'm great at working out but horrible at eating right all the time. You know what, sometimes I just want those hot wings and a cold bud light!
8. I have 0 tolerance for negative people. I want to yell out: shut up! your ignorance is unbearable! But I don't I just cut them lose and never look back!
9. I went to college twice. Once for social work then buad.
10. I've never seen an episode of Grey's Anatomy! Shocker, probably half the world knows the storyline except me.
11. I took piano lessons for 2 yrs. when I was a kid and I still can't play!
12. I only eat ice cream if its melted. I know it sorta defeats the purpose but that's how I like it.
13. I collect books, all kinds.
14. I watch Golden Girls, King of Queens and The Game every night on Tivo no matter what, well unless I'm sleep before I hit the bed!
15. I experience Deja Vu a lot!
16. I love seafood!
17. Taking pictures is my 2nd passion
18. I'm inspired by smart, business savvy women.
19. I'm addicted to coffee
20. I'm a child of God!

"Here's an easy cocktail that is sure to be the buzz of your next dinner party. The Bee's Knees gets its sweetness from a quick-to-prepare honey syrup. And we've given this classic drink a floral, Provençal twist by adding lavender. The result is unexpected and delicious: a perfect balance of sharp, fragrant, sweet, and strong."
1/4 cup hot water
1 teaspoon dried lavender blossoms*
1/4 cup honey
6 tablespoons gin
2 tablespoons lemon juice
Mix hot water and dried lavender blossoms in bowl. Let steep 5 minutes. Whisk in 1/4 cup honey. Strain into another bowl. Add 3 tablespoons of the honey syrup, gin, and lemon juice; strain into cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into 2 chilled Martini glasses.
